Developed to refresh and hone the capabilities of mid-level to senior public affairs practitioners accountable or responsible for issues management in their organisation, this professional development module offers a deep-dive into the options and approaches available for experienced issues managers, especially in a digital information age in which the issues life cycle is accelerating, and internal and external stakeholders expect a rapid response.Refreshing best practice issues management concepts: re-engaging with the role of issues management in the contemporary organisation, including the socio-political legitimacy gap, and the impact of good issues management on corporate reputation

Advanced issues management – strategies and approaches: establishing low, medium and high risk approaches to issues management as active options.
Comprising insights to the latest thinking and approaches of organisations that manage best practice issues management capability and capacity, the program will focus on:
The module has been developed to take the issues management expertise of practitioners and their employer organisations, to a new and higher level of performance.
The Faculty will be led by Centre Director Wayne Burns, who is a member of the International Issues Management Council.
Class size is limited to maximise opportunities for dialogue and interaction with Faculty and peers.
