This highly interactive professional development module is ideal for practitioners accountable for developing and executing stakeholder engagement strategy. It will be the most practical and insightful professional development for corporate public affairs practitioners on stakeholder engagement in 2017.

The module will examine common and good practice approaches and use of stakeholder engagement tools in Australia and internationally including stakeholder mapping (typology, attributes, influence), prioritisation, linking stakeholder engagement with issues management and corporate community investment, arrangements and structures to engage stakeholders, and assessing and measuring and reporting stakeholder engagement.

Sessions include:

  • Trends and developments in stakeholder engagement in large organisations
  • Case Study: Linking stakeholder engagement with issues management and corporate community investment
  • Case Study: Managing a good practice stakeholder engagement process to steward reputation
  • Assessing, measuring and reporting stakeholder engagement to inform strategy

    This module will be led by Faculty from the Centre for Corporate Public Affairs, with case studies delivered by senior practitioner Guest Faculty Elizabeth Rex - General Manager Corporate Affairs and Communications, Caltex Australia, and Todd Stephenson - ‎Director Corporate and Government Affairs, Janssen Australia.

    Additionally, participants will have the opportunity for peer-to-peer learning and discourse.
