This module is for senior and mid-level corporate public affairs practitioners with accountability for or focusing on advocacy as part of issues management, reputation stewardship, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy.
The module will examine why leading corporations and organisations are shifting considerable management time and resources to identify and empower advocates for their strategy and issues.
Best practice advocacy approaches, strategy, and tactics in organisations in Australia, Asia Pacific, and globally will be identified and unpicked.
Processes and tools to engage and support advocates will be identified and dissected.
We will also discuss best practice case studies from GE, BP, Barclays, Wal-mart, BHP, Pfizer.
Sessions will be led by Centre Executive Director Wayne Burns and Guest Faculty from best practice organisations.
Limited places available - early registrations are encouraged.
This module comprises five credit points (5) of the 40 points required over 36 months for practitioners to achieve/maintain their certification as a Graduate of the Centre for Corporate Public Affairs (GCCPA).
