Parliamentary committee recommends press freedom changes in wake of ABC, News Corp raidND

A review of press freedom by the powerful Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security (PJCIS) has recommended search warrants for journalists’ homes and offices should only be issued by senior judges. The probe also recommended a review on how national security legislation is being applied to the classification of government documents, amid concerns from journalists.
